Tasting notes:

The Chateau de Cerons is a lovely deep golden amber colour.

The nose is a lovely blend of acacia, honey and passionfruit with touches crisp orange peel, pineapple and a slight nuttiness.

The palate is rich but not cloying, with lovely notes of zingy citrus fruits and more passionfruit and pineapple. There is indulgent sweet nut loaf here too, all balanced with lovely acidity and exceptional length.

About the wine:

The grapes for this sweet wine come from vines with an average age of 25 years old.

The grapes are carefully inspected and handpicked, selecting only the berries at the appropriate level of noble rot. They then undergo a soft pressing before fermentation in oak barrels.

After fermentation, the wine spends a further 18 months in oak barrels ageing before lightly fining, bottling and release.

About the producer:

Chateau de Cerons is an 18th century manor house built on a terrace overlooking the Garonne river.

Xavier and Caroline Perromat took over management of the family estate in 2012. The estate has 26 hectares of vines on a plateau of deep gravel soil overlooking the surrounding area.
